Professional Bio
Violet, is undoubtedly one of the avid litigants in the Malisa & Partners Legal Practitioners team. With 5 years’ experience of working in a fast-paced law firm, rising from internship to Associate level, she has established herself as the go-to person in the firm with a knack for drafting intelligible court documents and thoroughly researched litigation submissions.
Violet holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) with credit from the University of Zambia and is an Advocate in the High Court for Zambia. She also holds a Legal Drafting, Writing, Research and Analysis Certificate issued by the global law firm DLA Piper in association with ZIALE.
Throughout her legal career this far, Violet has demonstrated a deep understanding of several instructions ranging from complex environmental matters arising from illegal land use and occupation, public interest litigation on Constitutional and Human Rights violations, mass conveyancing, gifts and moieties all the way to domestic relation and employment cases which she has resolved amicably between parties. She is also well acquainted with documentary and legal reviews on behalf of individual and corporate clients, to ensure that they are in compliance with the Zambian laws. In this regard, she is known for her meticulous attention to detail, strategic thinking, and effective communication skills which enable the law firm to navigate complex instructions with confidence. Her in-depth knowledge acquired through her excellent research skills, in her specific areas of practice allow her to provide comprehensive and tailored legal strategies to each client’s unique circumstance.
In addition to her legal practice, as a relatively young Lawyer, Violet remains actively involved in the legal community. She recently joined the University of Zambia’s prestigious law school as a Part-time Tutor in Constitutional and Administrative law. She is also currently a Lawyer at Conservation Advocates Zambia, a not-for-profit organisation that is committed to safeguarding the environment and promoting sustainable livelihoods for present and future generations.
